Resource: Center for Health Design

Blogchdnew The Center for Health Design is the most important organization involved with Art in HealthCare. I realize that is a strong statement, but I mean it.

The goal of this non-profit organization is to improve the quality of healthcare through evidence-based building design. They do this with research, education, advocacy and technical assistance. Looking at their board-of-directors is to see a list of the leaders in HealthCare Design today.

As I have become aquinted with them over the last few years I have found them to be approachable, friendly and extremely helpful. Their website is rich with useful information.  They sponsor the popular HealthCare Design Conference each November. They partner with the leading magazine HealthCare Design. They also have the Pebble Project research program providing examples of healthcare organizations whose facility design has made a difference in the quality of care - as well as their financial performance.

Bottom Line: if you are involved with art in HealthCare you should learn about the Center for Health Design.

Thank you for your time and attention.
