Naomi Sachs just sent me an email announcing her new blog called the Therapeutic Landscapes Database Blog. The URL for blog is: www.tldb.blogspot.com

Besides getting Landscape news out quickly, she wants the blog to serve as a virtual meetingplace for landscape designers, healthcare providers, and others.

She's off to a very good start. I enjoyed reading her timely post from January 3rd:
"When the Weather Outside is Frightful: Interior Healing Gardens"

For those of us not in Florida or Phoenix, this time of year doesn't allow for as much interaction with nature, especially if we are in a wheelchair or just not so sure of foot. Many healthcare facilities (and many corporate offices, too) offer indoor gardens, atria, or greenhouses for those months when going outside is not an appealing or safe option.

Naomi Sachs, ASLA is the Founder and Executive Director of the Therapeutic Landscapes Resource Center. She is also the Principal at Naomi Sachs Design (design and consulting for therapeutic landscapes) based in Beacon, NY

I've mentioned Naomi recently on this blog when I did a post on the Therapeutic Landscapes Database. She also left a comment on my book review of "Healing Gardens".
