Art Business News
I did a Google search today for "Art Business". Art Business News was 3rd from the top with a blurb that said "Provides industry news, marketing matters and emerging trends that drive sales for art publishers, galleries, solo artists and art-related business."
This free website is worth a look, especially if you are interested in poster art. The URL is www.artbusinessnews.com
Pros
- Podcast interviews with the leaders in Poster Art click here
- Free Online access of featured articles since 2004 click here
- Online video library click here
Cons
- Cluttered look due to advertising links
- No international coverage
The target audience seems to be art consultants and those who run frame shops, not top-dollar New York Galleries.

I appreciate your mention of Art Business News on your blog,
however, there are a few inaccuracies that I'd like to point out. The magazine caters first and foremost to gallery owners. It also targets independent artists and interior designers, but only a small number of frame shops (as found in our 2008 Readership Study).
Second:
Approximately 90% of the artwork featured in the magazine is either originals or limited editions; only a small percentage of the editorial coverage goes to the poster market for the sole reason that posters are not the main revenue stream for the majority of our readers. In fact, many of our gallery readers are opting to sell almost all original artwork in order to stay competitive in this challenging market, which makes our coverage of original artwork even more important.
All of the podcast interviews on our web site were conducted with artists or publishers dealing in originals and/or limited editions, not poster art.
Again, I thank you for the exposure, and I encourage you to continue visiting the web site. Of course, the best way to truly find out what our magazine is all about is to subscribe! Our subscriptions are free, so please call 800-543-0874.
