One of Ian Adam's books: "Missouri Botanical Garden: Green for 150 Years"
Nature scenes are very popular in healthcare settings. Since gardens are nothing more than orderly collections of nature; pictures of them fit especially well in hospitals and medical clinics. One of the leading garden photographers today is Ian Adams.
I first became familiar with Ian's work through his book "The Art of Garden Photography". I can highly recommend the book for those who want to get serious about this kind of photography. He has created 14 books, all of which are listed on his website.
The picture above is the cover of a book I got as a gift a couple weeks ago. The director of the Missouri Botanical Garden (Dr. Peter Raven) gave it to me. It is filled with the photography of Ian Adams.
I asked Ian to tell me how his work has been used in healthcare:
Several hospitals in northeast Ohio have used my photography extensively, especially The Cleveland Clinic, which has more than fifty Cibachrome and Epson Ultrachrome color prints of my photographs in several of their northeast Ohio facilities, and another fifty color prints of my Florida photographs at what used to be their facility in Naples, Florida (I believe they have since sold this facility). A number of doctor's and dentist's offices in the northeast Ohio area also feature prints of my photographs.

This is a wonderful, gorgeous book. Beverly discovered it on our recent trip to St. Louis and the Botanical Garden. Highly recommended!
