Brice Marden is one of my favorite living painters. Peter Schjeldahl described him as "the most profound abstract painter of the past four decades."
This week I was hauling some fence wire to be recycled and the pattern caught my eye; it reminded me of Marden's work. I came back with my camera and took some pictures. Here is one of Mardens paintings:
